GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP)

We are delighted to announce the official signing of our grant agreement under the GEF Small Grants Programme (SGP), implemented by UNDP Ghana.
This milestone marks the beginning of the Community-Led Landscape Restoration and Low-Carbon Livelihoods Project, which will be implemented over the next 18 months in three communities along the Black Volta Basin.
Through this initiative, NORDESO will work closely with local communities to:
🌳 Restore degraded landscapes through community-led afforestation.
🌾 Promote climate-smart and sustainable agricultural practices.
👩🏽‍🌾 Empower women and young people through green livelihood opportunities and environmental stewardship.
🤝 Strengthen community participation in climate action and sustainable natural resource management.
This project reflects our continued commitment to building resilient communities while contributing to Ghana’s climate and biodiversity goals.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Global Environment Facility (GEF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Ghana, the GEF Small Grants Programme National Steering Committee, and all our partners for their confidence in our work.
